Road Transportation in New Hampshire

The road transport in New Hampshire comprises of highways, state routes, public transit and bicycle and pedestrian routes. The New Hampshire transport department is committed to provide convenient, safe and reliable road transportation in the state and also to provide easy connectivity to various cities and states.

Interstate Highways in New Hampshire

Highways in New Hampshire comprise of primary interstates and secondary interstates.

Interstate 89: The highway travels between Bow, New Hampshire and Highgate Springs, Vermont.

Interstate 93: The highway starts in Canton, Massachusetts, and ends near St. Johnsbury, Vermont, at I-91.

Interstate 95: The highway runs parallel to the Atlantic Ocean seaboard serving areas between Florida and New England inclusive.

Interstate 293: it is an 18 km long loop surrounding Manchester, New Hampshire.

Interstate 393: It is a 7.393 km spur extending east from Interstate 93 at Concord, New Hampshire.

There are over 1,000 miles of designated scenic and cultural byways in New Hampshire. The Scenic and Cultural Byways provide residents and visitors the opportunity to travel a system of byways featuring the scenic and cultural qualities of the state within the existing highway system. This also supports the cultural, recreational and historic attributes along these byways, promote retention of rural and urban scenic byways and expose the unique elements of the beauty, culture and history of the state.

Lebanon Municipal Airport

Located in Grafton County, Lebanon Municipal Airport is the largest airport serving the Upper Valley Region.
